The Thalaivar Movie Release Syndrome

Bring out the cut outs, stick those new posters and practice those shrill whistles that you'll blow in the theatre as soon as you can. Yes it's another Rajnikanth movie release and its festival time in Tamil Nadu (well atleast for a majority that excludes me). But yeah nevertheless you cannot deny that the sun rises in the east and neither can you deny that a Rajnikanth movie release day is one step short of a Government holiday.

If you walk into the bank and find one counter operating instead of the usual three, dont worry; if you go to your favourite vegetable market and find the crowd to be surprisingly thin dont worry; they'll all be at Satyam, Inox, Kasi and every other theatre that you can think of. Its 'their' thalaivar's movie release.

But definitely there are things that i am going to miss, seeing people carry those Paal Packets (Milk packets) up the cut out and do the abhishekam, seeing fans go crazy in the front row as soon as Chuck Norris' Indian clone comes on screen and the ticket being torn to shreds and thrown at him in adulation, these are Tamil cinema kalaacharam (culture) which reaches a crescendo when it is a Rajni movie specially.

Although I wont miss the class (considering Kamal rejected this script :P), I'll definitely miss the Mass. Catch Endhiran in the Theatres soon.

Trivia - First time without that moustache on screen after eons or to be precise after Thillu Mullu.

This one's for you Siddhu :)

I aspire to go for Rajini movie first day first show at least once in my life. I hope he keeps making movies at least till I get to do that once.

Super trivia. In Thillu Mullu, he had moustache half the time. Is this the first movie where he's going to appear without a moustache?

Thalaivar vaazhga!

Unfortunately I went wrong... he has appeared without a moushtache in the movie Sri Raghavendra as well. Trust me Srini... you are gonna miss the best movie ever by Thalaivar and one of the best in Indian Cinema! Am not a huge fan of the paal packets being wasted... but I sure am gonna make it to the first day to witness it! Got the tickets too :) And machi dunno if u intended it... but this time the Rajni film release day literally is one step short of a government holiday (its the day before the birthday of your favourite leader)!
